Maxine Blackwell San Juan, 1942 - 2008

Maxine Blackwell San Juan, 66, of Broken Bow, passed away October 18, 2008 at Ada, OK.  She was born January 19, 1942 in Clebit, OK, the daughter of George and Gladys Stinnett Eeds. 

Maxine was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County, who worked at Tyson for over 15 years. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, and was regarded as a great cook.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons-in-law, O.Z. Braxton, Willie Parker; and a granddaughter, Kristie LaDae.

Maxine is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Stella Blackwell of Ada, OK, Max and Misty Blackwell of Wright City, OK; three daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Burris of Ada, OK, Peggy Parker of Idabel, OK, LaDae and Steve of Hollycreek, OK; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; a very special cousin, Jack Eeds of Tyler, TX; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Springs of Light Church, in Glover with Rev. Leon Hughes and Rev. Robert Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Hollycreek Cemetery.

The Family will receive friends tonight, Tuesday, October 21, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
