Dock Jefferson Mussett was born July 1, 1934 in Swink, Oklahoma to John L. Mussett and Ida Fromie (Pinkard) Mussett. Dock married Veda Lafaye Sellers September 5, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
His hobbies included, golfing, fishing, spending time with family and friends, whether at home or out and about, and shooting pool. Dock was one of the most sought after bricklayers in the area. He retired from Brown and Root Construction Company in 1996.
He is preceded in death by 4 sisters: Mary Moran, Rosie Roberts, Ivazene Thorp and Doris Weatherly; 6 brothers: Robert Mussett, Lewis Mussett, Leonard Mussett, Johnny Mussett, Albert Mussett, Herbert Mussett; 1 granddaughter, Karen Faye (Cooper) Tims; 3 Great Grandchildren: Cody & Colton Phelps and Carley Breann Pope
SURVIVING RELATIVES: His wife of 55 years, Veda L. Mussett of the home; children, Donnie Mussett of Dallas, TX, Brenda & Charles McDonald of Broken Bow, OK, Cynthia & Darrell Kelley of Valliant, OK, Jerry & Vickie Mussett of St. Petersburg, FL, Debbie Mussett and Nichole of Valliant, OK; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews along with other relatives and friends.
VISITATION: Family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the funeral home.
